Internship Program by Venture for Canada (VFC) (SWPP)
Company Requirements
- Be a small or medium-sized business, start-up, social enterprise, nonprofit, or charity
- Have a physical office (pre-Covid) in one of the following Canadian provinces: the Northern Territories, BC, AB, SK, MB, QC, NB, NS, PE or NL
- Employ fewer than 500 people
- Provide a safe and supportive internship that develops innovation or entrepreneurial skill-building opportunities
- Employer match for two consecutive semesters (8 months total), provided that both are still eligible and funding remains

Candidates Requirements
- Enrolled full or part time in a Canadian college or university
- Studying any discipline, at any diploma or degree level
- Will be enrolled (completing program requirements) for at least the first 30 days of this internship
- Holds Canadian citizenship, Permanent Residency, or refugee status
- Interested in entrepreneurship and/or seeking alternatives to ‘traditional’ job placements
- If requesting funding for an Intern who has previously been funded by VFC (either with your organization or another), these students must have completed previous VFC training

Role Requirements
- Part-time or Full-Time roles welcome
- Remote Internships are eligible
- Internships cannot exceed 20 weeks
