Company Requirements
- Registered Canadian business or organization
- Not a federal or provincial government group or a large financial sector employer
- Have the financial capacity to hire a student for a part of full time work term, pay them consistently and provide a meaningful work experience
- An eligible employer must be willing to employ a student in a tech-immersive role
- Tech and non-tech focused organizations are encouraged to apply
- Unfortunately, we have begun to reach some of our regional funding limits for the Winter 2024 Program. We are no longer accepting applications for student placements taking place in the following provinces and territories: British Columbia, Ontario

Candidates Requirements
- Either a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or a protected person defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Must be a currently enrolled student in a post-secondary institution program
- Priority will be given to those hiring students from underrepresented communities:
- Indigenous students
- Women studying STEM
- First year students
- Visible minorities
- New Canadians (within 5 years)
- Persons with disabilities

Role Requirements
- Support any tech-immersive roles across many different disciplines and functions, and you don’t need to be a tech company to promote tech skills development
- Preference will be given to tech immersive roles that are within high-growth sectors:
- Digital technology (IT, digital marketing, software engineering, etc.)
- AI / IoT / Machine Learning / Advanced Manufacturing
- Cybersecurity
- Agri-Tech
- Clean Tech
- Health Tech
